Block X: A 100 unit residential development located on a 1.78 acre site in Chicago’s West Loop. The structures are light gauge steel frame panels constructed on top of a poured-in-place underground parking garage. The units frame a 1/3 acre landscaped park built on top of the parking structure. The development received the American Institute of Architects Design Excellence Award, the Distinguished Builder Honor Award from Builder’s Magazine, and two Gold Key Awards from the Home Builder’s Association of Greater Chicago.
