Block Y: A 255 unit, five building residential condominium development located in Chicago’s West Loop. The development included a new six-story, plus two sub-basements poured-in-place concrete structure with brick façade; 113 residential units; 400 car enclosed parking; and 27,000 square feet of retail. The second building was a five-story heavy timber loft rehab consisting of 60 units. In the third building, four additional floors were added to an existing two-story plus basement concrete and brick structure to house a two-floor parking garage and 49 residential units. The fourth and fifth buildings were four-story luxury townhome buildings containing 33-units. All of these buildings were situated around a water-featured common garden. The development was awarded the coveted Crystal Key Award by the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago and received the Urban Land Institute/HBAGC Community Vision Award.
