New Homes for Chicago: Utilizing the City of Chicago’s New Homes for Chicago program, 234 affordable single-family homes, duplexes, and apartments were built in nine neighborhoods throughout the City of Chicago. Neighborhood organizations such as Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS), The Fund for Community Redevelopment, the Woodlawn Community Development Organization, Claretian Associates, the Urban League Development Corporation, and Voice of the People of Uptown were enlisted as partners to create such quality housing. The American Institute of Architects also granted New Homes for Kenwood a Distinguished Building Award.
